Dr. Bernard Kofi Turkson is an Assistant Research Fellow in the Institute of Traditional and Alternative Medicine (ITAM) of the University of Health and Allied Sciences, Ho. Before his appointment into the university, he has been a Medical Herbalist at the Tafo Government Hospital, Ghana Health Service. He is passionate about the practice of traditional medicine and goes all out to support every move in this direction. Mr. Turkson holds a Bachelor of Science in Herbal Medicine and Master of Philosophy in Pharmacognosy both degrees from the KNUST, Kumasi. He had his basic and secondary education in Takoradi in the Western Region of Ghana. He is currently a Ph.D. student at KNUST. As a Medical Herbalist, he was the head of the herbal medicine unit at the Tafo Government Hospital. He was a lecturer at the College of Integrated Health, Obuasi in the Ashanti Region. He is a part-time lecturer at the Department of Herbal Medicine, KNUST.
